Finally, the students in Mrs. B's class all hold a huge piece of her heart, each of her students truly feel special and valued in her classroom." Mrs. Wolf's Kindergarten Class Makes a Donation to Clark County Humane Society

Donation to Clark County Humane SocietyOn Friday Mrs. Wolf's kindergarten class celebrated the letter Qq by bringing in quarters to donate to the Clark County Humane Society for items on their wishlist.  They were able to buy 16 items from the wishlist which included: two boxes of dog treats, six cans of cat food, four rolls of paper towel, Pine-sol, bleach and two gallons of distilled water.  We are pretty proud of our donations and happy to help our furry friends!

Kyler-Student of the Month

Student of the MonthMeet our newest Student of the Month at Spencer Elementary School!!
It is with great pleasure that we introduce Kyler  as our Spencer Elementary Student of the Month!!
Kyler was nominated his second grade teachers and they had this to say about Kyler, “We are very excited to nominate Kyler  for Student of the Month. He always follows the Rocket Way. He works diligently to finish all of his must dos for the week and then is always enthusiastically asking for more things to do. He is always willing to help others especially with technology issues. We can count on Kyler to be responsible with our community environment picking up his area and items left behind by others. He waits respectfully to speak to others without interrupting and is a patient listener in class. He watches out for other students who are in need of a partner during group activities. These are a few of the many reasons why the second grade team chose to nominate Kyler as the student of the month.”
Mrs. Guenther went on to say, “Kyler shows excellent leadership in the second grade environment. He is an awesome example of the Rocket Way, being sure to do his work, often ahead of time, and looking to help his peers. If there is a chair or pencil out of place he just takes care of it on his way by without seeking attention for his good deeds.”

Denise Bodendorfer- Staff Member of the Month Denise

Denise BodendorferIt is my pleasure to introduce Mrs. Bodendorfer as our Staff Person of the Month at Spencer Elementary School!
Mrs. Bodendorfer was first nominated by Mr. Dillenburg, he wrote, “Denise is a wonderful asset to our school. She loves each of our students and provides them with a wonderful learning environment, keeps the library SPOTLESS, monitors and helps outside with the school buses, and helps anyone who needs a hand. Any TIME I need help with anyTHING, Denise is willing to do it.
Mrs. Bodendorfer was also nominated by Mrs. Anderson, she states, "Denise always has a positive attitude! She is so willing to help out anytime I run down there on the spur of the moment looking for books for our classroom. They are excited about library day when they get to go down to get new books and listen to the stories she reads. She is always willing to help out whenever needed.”
Mrs. Miller also nominated Mrs. Bodendorfer and she had this to say, “Denise is a wonderful help in our Rocket library. She loves our students and is always so very willing to help any and all. I love how she is more than glad to assist teachers finding materials. I especially LOVE when she slips kids just the right book they've been looking for or offers, "Here, try this one. You'll love it!"
