Eighth Grade Students Face "Reality"

Savings & charityReality Store

This years Reality Store was yet again a success and a challenge for many 8th grade students. When calculating their monthly budgets, students were quick to realize there are many different expenses that add up quickly. Many students fell into debt and had to either make sacrifices, find assistance, or go and get a part time job, which is reality for many families in our community. It was also nice to hear a couple of students, who were a little more fortunate, offer to help some of those who were not. Even though that was not an option, it was nice to hear our students offering to give back to our community. Thank you to our surrounding area schools for joining us, Karen Isaacson from Marshfield Chamber of Commerce, and the local volunteers for your continued support to help Spencer students become career ready.
