Monitoring:
The District will monitor (and post) active cases of staff and students in the school district. If the number of active cases as a percent of total Individuals remains below 5%, we plan to maintain the “Return to Normal” planning.
Should numbers rise above 5%, the Superintendent will request a Board of Education meeting (Regular or Special Meeting) to determine action (if any) to be revisited or revised.

Social Distancing will be adhered to whenever possible.
Guidelines for student and staff quarantines:

Individuals identified as positive cases will be required to isolate for 5 days from onset of symptoms and may return to school on Day 6 with an improvement of symptoms and fever free without medication for 24 hours. Students who return on Day 6 will be required to wear a mask from day 6-10 and eat lunch physically distanced from their peers.

Individuals identified as close contacts (in a school /athletics / activities setting) will be communicated, as requested, to the County Health Department. Decisions to quarantine will be issued by the Health Department. A note will only be sent home with the student to notify parents if their child’s name was submitted as a possible close contact.

Vaccinated students and staff will not be quarantined unless symptomatic.

Individuals presenting symptoms will be sent home and may return with a negative result of Covid 19 Test or may return to school on Day 6 with an improvement of symptoms and fever free without medication for 24 hours.

Positive cases in households. Siblings from the same household as a positive case will quarantine 5 days from last close contact and may return to school on Day 6 as long as they remain symptom free. Students who return on Day 6 will be required to wear a mask from day 6-10.

Federal Rule governs public transportation.
School buses are considered public transportation. The District will honor any requirements established by our bus contractor.
