COLLEGE, CAREER, AND LIFE READINESS

Provide relevant and meaningful learning aligned with post-secondary and career readiness that supports diverse career pathways, essential life skills, and future readiness.

Create a student learning committee/or position to support educators, review and align curricula, assist in adopting new resources and provide professional development.
Enhance academic and career planning (ACP) by increasing dual credit opportunities, expanding courses in trades, STEAM, life skills, and other career and technical educational areas while maintaining programs in core subject areas and the arts.
Build differentiated learning options and provide structured intervention time to better meet individual student needs in Math, Reading/ELA and all other subjects.

Annual feedback from staff on curriculum support.
Collect and set goals related to redefining ready data in the areas of college, career, and life readiness.
Set and measure annual goals related to the school report card in the areas of achievement, growth, target group outcomes, and on track to graduation.

HEALTH AND WELLNESS

Foster a safe and supportive school environment that prioritizes the physical and mental health and emotional well-being of students, staff and families.

Integrate the mental health and wellness teams to take the lead on mental health and wellness activities including retreats, gatherings, and activities
Enhance education for students, staff and families related to social-emotional learning (SEL) and trauma-informed care (TIC) to build resilience, improve behavior, and reduce bullying through restorative practices, and positive behavior incentive programs.
Assess and improve nutritional quality of food served to students.

Implement staff surveys to gauge the mental health and emotional well-being of the staff and make adjustments.
Track student behavior and set annual goals and report on those goals.
Survey families and students on the nutritional quality of food and make adjustments to our programming based on feedback.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND FAMILY RELATIONSHIPS

Uphold a strong, collaborative relationship between the school district, families, and the community through integrity, two-way communication, engagement opportunities, and mutually beneficial partnerships.

Develop a two-way communication plan that establishes clear and effective communication channels between the district, families, and the community that encourage dialogue and feedback in multiple different venues.
Strengthen partnerships with local businesses, organizations and areas within the school to provide valuable resources, mentorship, volunteer experiences and learning opportunities for students.
Establish a staff, student and community recognition program that organizes various celebration events throughout the year to recognize a wide range of accomplishments and provide opportunities for students to engage with and contribute to the community.

Provide an annual community-wide survey to measure community satisfaction with the school and make adjustments as necessary.
Increase the number of partnerships and enhance relationships with local businesses and organizations.
Plan quarterly recognition and celebration events.

STAFF RETENTION, RECRUITMENT, AND DEVELOPMENT

Cultivate a thriving school district workforce through sustained staff retention, an innovative recruitment process, and robust professional development opportunities, while fostering a strong, connected organizational culture.

Implement retention and recruitment strategies including a mentoring program, staff recognition activities, competitive pay/benefits, that help to maintain a supportive, flexible, and engaging workplace culture that promotes longevity.
Provide ongoing professional development (PD) opportunities and planning time to promote staff growth, reduce burnout, and ensure staff feel valued and supported in areas that are aligned with other aspects of the strategic plan.
Foster a connected, respectful, and supportive staff culture that promotes teamwork and reduces silos within the district by organizing staff gatherings, team-building activities and bridging gaps between different departments and areas.

Provide exit surveys and/or interviews when staff leave the district to analyze any trends and make necessary changes to our system.
Annually review the professional development plan to assess whether or not it aligned with the rest of the strategic plan and make adjustments when necessary.
Engage in annual staff surveys to gauge morale, work-life balance and other key factors impacting retention then make data-driven adjustments.
FACILITY MANAGEMENT AND FINANCIAL SUSTAINABILITY

Enhance a facility maintenance program with an emphasis on safety and ensure financial sustainability over the next five years and into the future.

Assess the current state of our facilities through a staff survey and facility assessment.
Develop a detailed maintenance plan and schedule for all facilities that prioritizes repairs and renovations based on urgency, safety, and impact on learning.
Analyze current budget allocations for maintenance, staff, and programming and develop a multi-year financial plan that supports facility upgrades, regular maintenance, and allocates resources to support all areas of the strategic plan.

Provide a summary report of the facility assessment and staff survey and set goals based on the information.
The facility committee engages in a quarterly review of the facility management plan. Track the number and scope of completed maintenance and improvement projects each year.
Budget status is reported monthly at school board meetings and yearly at the annual meeting.
